Photo Album: Addition, Columbia, MD

These homeowners approached us about adding an addition onto their waterfront contemporary-style rancher. A growing family, with young children, they knew that she would need more room to grow. This family added a two story addition to the back of their home, overlooking Wilde Lake Park in Columbia.             Since this home already came with a lot of unique design features we wanted to make sure that we were creating a design that fit in with the rest of the home. We installed windows, in the kitchen and master bath, that would overlook the lake. We built a balcony off the master suite, giving the parents additional space to get away after a hectic work day, and relax. Inside, we continued the exposed wood beams throughout the ceilings, keeping true to the design elements that were already there. Inside the walls we installed a high pressure HVAC system, perfect for a larger home, without compromising on the design and style.             Starcom Design Build won an award at the Homebuilders Competition for this outstanding design! We also got plenty of praise from the homeowners, who love having added space for their big busy family!
