Pella
Pella has introduced more products into its entry door portfolio and design selection process, which combines its most popular fiberglass and steel front door styles into a single Pella Entry Doors collection. This collection includes 25 door panel styles, nine decorative glass options, and a choice of 25 Sherwin-Williams paint colors or eight pre-finished stains. According to Pella, their panel-and-frame system will not absorb moisture or rot.
Their wood and high-performing fiberglass and steel entry doors “offer industry-exclusive innovations in smart home monitoring, uncompromised quality and enhanced security and privacy”. These doors will give your home additional security, while also giving it a cool looking style.
Velux
Velux has redesigned a number of their pre-existing skylights to create the “Go Solar Initiative,” which is a collection of products with solar powered functions or features. All of the products in their collection are eligible for a 26% federal solar tax credit on the product and the instillation through December 31, 2020, or a 22% tax credit in 2021.
These skylights feature solar panels that capture available daylight and use it to recharge a battery powered operator and control system. The operator is the power source that will open and close the skylight, which gets rid of the need for electrical wiring during the installation process.
Jeld-Wen
The “Siteline Patio Doors” are designed to protect against rot, termites, and water intrusion. These doors are available in three different configurations: “low-friction glider, which are available in up to four panels seven inches wide and ten inches tall; multi-slide, offered in single or bi-parting layouts up to 57 feet wide; and the in-swing patio door with Hydrolock technology, available in up to four panels with a continuously draining sill system.”
These doors come with configurations of one to four panels, with a max width of 24’. Innovative rollers help the panels open and glide easily, with minimal force required. Jamb cam-lock makes installation or replacement of these panels quick and easy and these doors are backed with a 20 year limited warranty.
The doors come with many aesthetic options including: “narrow 3’ stiles and rails that provide more glass and natural light, up to six panels in a single direction, or 12 panels in a bi-parting configuration, slide to create openings up to 57’ wide.
Kova
Katerra has designed a new series of high-performance vinyl windows. They are available in many different custom sizes and configurations including horizontal slider windows, picture windows, and a two-panel sliding patio door, which includes a specialty locking system. The windows are made from heavy-duty reinforced vinyl, and have features such as: water intrusion protection, argon gas insulation, and a warm edge spacer.
These windows were designed to address building code requirements for, not just today, but also for the future. With exceptional structural, thermal, and acoustic ratings, the windows will allow customers to find the right balance of performance, aesthetic, and the cost to meet or exceed project needs.
Marvin
The “Marvin Skycove” is a fully constructed, pre-made alcove structure with a cantilevered steel base that is certified to hold heavier weights than a typical outdoor deck, according to Marvin. “A 4-degree sloped, flush-glazed rood with waterproofing flange offers water intrusion protection. The integrated seating bench extends the home’s footprint by up to 16 to 20 feet, and may be finished to match any home style. The glass walls are available in a choice of dual- or triple-pane low-E3 glass, alongside a protective fiberglass exterior”.
The Skycove includes many features including: adding up to 20 square feet of reusable space, strong enough to accommodate all people, the 4 degree slope on the top glass and flush glazing sheds debris and prevents water from pooling, narrow 2 7/8’ sightlines provide expansive views, fork pockets for easy installation, and it has a insulated seat cavity.
It has finished seat boards available in pine, red oak, and mixed-grain Douglas fir. The colors match other Marvin products for a perfect match for anyone that has their products.
Hunter Douglas
The Duette Architella Honeycomb Shade system adds on to the original product with a new structure. The new shades offer more insulation than the old product, absorb up to 70% of sound, and minimize unwanted glare or sunlight, according to Hunter Douglas. This shade is available in a wide variety of custom fabrics and comes with an optional PowerView automation system.
The shades are offered in single-cell and cell-within-a-cell construction, cellular honeycomb shades provide a great level of energy efficiency.
