Proudly serving the Greater Columbia area including Ellicott City, Silver Spring, Clarksville and nearby.
The family’s home improvement project includes several exciting updates to enhance both functionality and aesthetics.
First, a new sidewalk will be created, connecting the existing driveway to the original sidewalk. This will be complemented by a new hardscape sidewalk and landing for the portico, providing a welcoming entrance to the home. To address the landscape, a 6x6 pressure-treated timber retaining wall will be built along the right side of the driveway, adding both structure and visual appeal.
Inside, the gym/garage and hobby room will be transformed with the addition of a vaulted ceiling, creating a spacious and airy environment.
The project also includes the installation of Pella Encompass Energy Star white windows with white hardware, no grids, and half screens. A total of eight windows will be installed, ensuring energy efficiency and a clean, modern look. The doors will include two overhead white insulated doors with glass at the top panel, featuring tracks that mount on the wall above, complete with openers, keypads, and remotes for the cars. Additionally, a half-glass insulated door will lead from the gym to the exterior, and a solid insulated six-panel door will connect the gym to the study. Another identical door will lead from the new mudroom to the existing garage.
These updates will not only improve the home’s functionality but also enhance its overall aesthetic, making it a more enjoyable and efficient space for the family.
