Large Master Bathroom with a Twist

Challenge

The homeowners have a gorgeous home in Ellicott City but were very tired of their master bath. After 24 years the bathroom had become outdated and needed a complete overhaul. The whirlpool tub was large and rarely used, and they wanted a bigger shower and more storage space. Adjusting the layout and upgrading their fixtures and tiles was just what they needed to give this outdated bathroom a fresh new feel. In her travels, the wife, had a chance to see many different bathroom designs and she knew exactly what she wanted in her home. Together, with our designer she was able to pick out every detail of bathroom, creating an oasis for the clients. 

Solution

Blending the adjoining master bedroom into the bathroom gave the master suite a seamless flow, perfectly fitting in with the rest of the beautifully styled home. The bathroom was reconfigured, eliminating the tub and replacing it with a zero threshold walk-in double wide shower enclosure. No need for a curtain with the permanent glass shower panels. Numerous Delta/Vero shower head units and an Innovis shower bench gave a spa-like feel to the shower. The decorative glass tile and ceramic flooring were the perfect added touch.

Hafele hardware was used throughout the space. A knee wall was built for privacy to the commode area. Cambria granite countertops encase the under mounted rectangle sinks. The Wolf Copenhagen Maple cabinetry inset with metal laminate add distinction and style. Barn doors, also encased with metal laminate insets, were painted red. Giving the couple more storage that they needed and accentuating the rest of the design.
