Smart Home Remodel, Ellicott City, MD

Wounded Veteran's home was converted into a smart home!

The home accommodated all his needs for his wheelchair.  The door was now remote controlled to be open a easy one floor layout for easy mobility, and a fully functional bathroom that would make his daily life easier. The main floor consisted in the rest of the home but offering him privacy with a full bedroom and office (with a tv that is remote controlled to swing down from the ceiling). His office on the other side of the room ready for whatever he has planned that day to be accomplished! Down a small hall was his big bathroom with all the gadgets he needs to feel at home. The shower was built with no lip, making his wheelchair accessible. Railing was installed everywhere he wanted. The smart toilet is in easy reach and the sink he picked out the style to add that extra homely touch. Even the sink countertop was lowered and the mirror slightly tilted downward for easy usage. The outside of the home was built a convent ramp to access his remote-controlled door but also onto a deck he can look out into his yard and woods.

The family was overjoyed with the finish touches from Starcom. The new smart home remodeling, addition, practically a new home for this growing family had transformed from their ever-changing life into modern comfort. Starcom would later go back out to this home for a checkup. The family was still extremely happy and grateful for the transformation to their home after a few months later.

The task was to accommodate the homeowner for her needs awhile also updating and organizing a space she could look nice even if work
