These homeowners requested a bigger garage that could house their brand new beautiful Tesla. Their old garage was small and cramped, not the place you want to keep a stunning new car.
This new garage was top of the line; we wanted to include a multitude of features that would make this garage space seem like more than just a garage. The garage was transformed into a drive through, where you could pull in the back of the garage, and then pull right back out the front when you go to leave. This was so convenient for the homeowners, and made great use of the space they already had.
Inside the garage we installed a drain for washing the cars there was no need to go outside if it was too hot or too cold. The interior of the new garage is insulated, dry walled and heated making it the perfect space for the homeowners to host their daughter’s gradation party.
The existing garage was not torn down; instead, we transformed it into a laundry room and mud room. This is something the lady of the house wanted, in order to keep the kids from tracking mud in and out of the house. Also, to have a space specifically designated for doing laundry was a nice addition. The new garage was given a brick face exterior to match the existing brick on the home’s exterior.
This family was so impressed with the creativity and innovation in our design. They feel like they made the best use of the space, and they got a lot out of the design that they weren’t originally planning on having. They are absolutely planning on recommending us to their neighbors.
Double the space, double the beauty!
Client's parents were living in their daughter's basement without any space of their own. Starcom was able to build an addition to the their 2-story colonial home.
Added was a full kitchen with an island, a full bathroom with a zero threshold shower, a family room, a bedroom, a walk in closet and a hobby/laundry room. Installed were 12 Pella Encompass Energy Star Windows for looking out into the back yard. A Pella Encompass Energy Star Glass Door to access the deck and backyard. 1 Velux 2x6 fixed skylight for the kitchen for natural lighting. This addition also had double hung windows, casements, and transom windows too.
The finished project turned out great! The Parents had more private space of their own without loosing the ability to easy live close to their daughter.
This screen porch is quite unique; built to overlook the Magothy River in Severn, the homeowners wanted to take advantage of their location and create a beautiful vista for them to enjoy.
In order to get the tall walls we envisioned for the porch our designer engineered the structure using steel beams, columns, and specialty welding. This was to ensure that the height and size of the ceiling and roof would be supported by the base of the structure. We accentuated the height of the ceiling with a wood paneled ceiling and beautiful stone faced fire place. The fireplace really draws your eye inside the screened porch, and extends the screened porch season. Whether they are enjoying a warm summer day, or a cool fall evening cozying up to the fire, there is no reason why the family can’t enjoy their time in the outdoors.
The home already had an existing deck off the back of the home and we updated the look of that deck using composite materials. The look of the deck blended perfectly with the new porch. We lined the porch with benches around the edges increasing the number of people that can be seated outside at once. Beautiful French doors allow light to flow into the home and give access to the beautifully built screened porch.
Our clients couldn’t be more excited to start entertaining and relaxing in their new outdoor space. We were able to meet their timeline, stay on budget, and give them all the items on their wish list.
Client wanted to expand their small home with a two story Addition when they decided to have their elderly parents move in with them. The idea of the Addition is to allow families to be there easier for their parents while also allowing personal space for the home to flourish and grow. The project would accommodate the existing family and their children while also keeping their elderly parents close to home.
The old Water Tank needed to be replaced with an up-to-date version to handle the increase need for water and sewerage. The base would have deep footers for concrete work and made for a good foundation for the Multiple Stories. The two story Addition was simple. The Upstairs would be a Full Bathroom and Master Bedroom as the main floor would be a small kitchen and living room. Many windows were installed on the main floor as the elderly parents were avid bird watchers. The decision was made to turn the wall into a row of windows, almost like a sunroom concept.
The original home's family was pleased with the quality of work Starcom was able to accomplish in a timely manner and felt happy with how the new Addition was safe for the elderly parents. The elderly family moved in and enjoyed the simple cozy lifestyle they now could feel independent in.
